home based quilter

My dear mother, bless her heart, tried to get me interested in sewing as a young girl. The attempt failed. Fast forward forty plus years, I belonged to a group of knitters, three that were quilters. One of those quilters somehow wrangled me into looking at some sewing machines to boost my interest. This time, it worked. I came home with my first sewing machine and took a beginner's quilting class that my friend taught. After the class celebrated their graduation, receiving a certificate of completion of their first quilt, there was no looking back for me. I was hooked!

Recently, I took the plunge into uncharted waters of free-motion quilting with my newly purchased Grace cutie frame and the Q'nique 15 pro. I finally managed to get everything put together and took it for a quick swim. I had so much fun! I look forward to learning all kinds of techniques through Grace tutorials. What is my one wish for Christmas? That I could retire, so I have all the time I want to play and create. The attached pictures are two most recent quilts that I completed. These were not finished with my Q'nique for it hadn't arrived yet. Thank you so much! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to the Grace staff!
