The Q-zone hooping frame comes with the standard carriage. I have a 16" throat machine that required the larger size. Their sizing chart is accurate. I goofed and thought the regular one was the larger one and attempted to put my machine on it. When it didn't fit, I realized my error and built the Expandable. The carriages have side clamps that grip on the machine. Not that mine would slip because it weighs 55lbs with non-slip grips on the bottom of it. I like the flexibility of the handles. Users can position them pointing up or down for their preference. The bars do not interfere with my access to the machine for threading or other touching. The locking brakes work very well once set up properly. There's a teeny tiny nut that adjusts the tension, FYI.
